I'm Clay Vander Kolk, and this page is a reflection and portfolio of my journey as a full-stack web developer with a passion for creativity and precision. My journey into web devlopment began shortly after graduating from Taylor University with a Math Education degree. While I felt passionate about the people I worked with, I quickly realized the appreciation I have for art through filmmaking projects I engaged with on the side. These passions led me straight back to coding in which I could use my mathematical brain and pair it with creativity by creating aesthetic, effective web applications. This unique blend of experiences has sculpted me into a creative thinker with a meticulous approach to problem-solving.

But my journey doesn't stop at technical proficiency. What truly sets me apart is my ability to connect with people and communicate ideas clearly. Whether I'm translating complex concepts into user-friendly web interfaces or collaborating with teams to bring visions to life, my dedication to clarity and creativity shines through. I am in the process of searching for a job as of October 2023. I am looking for a full stack web developement job. However, I look forward to the job opportunities that come my way and would love to push myself to grow as a developer with whatever job title is offered. I am so excited to see where this journey takes me and I hope to find a job in which I am pushed and challenged as well as a place that I can contribute to with my full effort.
